When my door was kicked down, I started doing research on ways to prevent that from happening again. From what I've seen so far, the RSS feed is basically a web page that updates at a certian time interval. So, I've subscribed to Caitlin's blogspot RSS feed. I have a bookmark in my favorites for her RSS feed, and when I click on it, it takes me to a webpage that lists her blog (but is not actually her blog). I have the feed set up to update once a day with the option of updating more often.
